NCC Approved
Jerba Campervans is also a full member of the NCC (National Caravan Council) and we have vehicle approval certification for our five T6.1 conversion layouts – the Tiree, Cromarty, Taransay, Sanna & Jura.
NCC vehicle certification approval assesses if a campervan or motorhome is safe place in which to live and sleep. The assessment for the approval requires a very detailed examination of each individual conversion layout which is completed against around eight different British Standard and European regulations – these cover everything from gas and electrical installations to ventilation and fire prevention.
Very few UK campervan converters have passed this approval certification, however, it is a very important mark of quality and demonstrates a converter’s commitment to customer safety.
It’s important to remember that NCC vehicle certification does not examine if a vehicle is safe to drive on the road, that separate assessment is known as Type Approval and is described in the section above.
