Volkswagen Motorhome Qualified

In March 2021 we were awarded the newly created Motorhome Qualified Converter status by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. This brand new national system of recognition was launched by Volkswagen in order to give campervan customers clarity as to which converters VW have a formal relationship with and to give customers complete confidence that they are buying a high quality and fully safety approved product that meets the rigorous VW standards.

Jerba Campervans was one of only three UK conversion companies to immediately meet the criteria for the award –  we can now say with 100% confidence that we are the only Volkswagen Motorhome Qualified Converter in Scotland, and in fact to the north of the East Midlands!

The award required us to meet a set of very high standards set by Volkswagen, including fully certificated UK road safety Type Approval and full manufacturers’ certificated NCC Approval from the National Caravan Council trade body – these two certifications cover all aspects of consumer safety for when you are either driving your campervan or using it as living accommodation.

To be formally recognised by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as a Motorhome Qualified Converter was fantastic news for all our employees and was a true reward for the years of dedication and attention to detail shown by staff across the business. We see this as an important milestone in the continuing growth of Jerba Campervans and look forward to many many more years ahead of working together with Volkswagen.

Ford National Converter Programme

In March 2024 we became accredited to the Ford National Converter Programme – an accreditation that requires all converters to have a 100% commitment to vehicle safety and customer care.

Audited and monitored by Ford, this accreditation brings us into direct contact with Ford’s UK headquarters and enables us to work directly with them on the designs of campervan conversions and to fully understand the technical opportunities and challenges.
Jerba Campervans is only one of a small number of UK campervan converters to have achieved this accreditation and we are delighted to be working with Ford on the development of our All New Transit Custom campervans.

The Ford National Converter Programme holds very high standards which includes a requirement to have all converted vehicles meet full Type Approval – a rigorous measure of safety standards monitored by the government Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) to ensure every camper conversion is 100% safe for driving on the roads.

We are delighted to be accredited by Ford to the Programme and look forward to many years of working together on exciting, new and creative projects.
