We are overjoyed to announce that Jerba Campervans has received the First Minister’s Award for Manufacturing Leadership. This esteemed award recognizes innovative manufacturing companies that demonstrate productivity and make a positive contribution to staff wellbeing, the environment, and the community.
As a fully employee-owned company based in North Berwick, we specialize in converting and customizing Volkswagen Transporter vans. We believe in fostering a participative and inclusive work culture, and the judges and First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, felt that our approach best exemplified the purpose of the award.
In her speech, First Minister Sturgeon praised Jerba Campervans for demonstrating “how a productive and growing company can at the same time offer real benefits to staff, community, and the environment” and for showing that “business for good is good for business.” We are honored to receive such high praise and are grateful to the First Minister and the panel of judges for recognizing our contributions to the manufacturing industry.
The team is incredibly proud of our founder Simon and the recognition he has received for his leadership and dedication to manufacturing excellence. His vision and commitment to innovation have been crucial to our success and have helped us to create a product that is adored by customers throughout the UK.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland and our partners, Making Scotland’s Future and Scotland CAN B, for their support in this achievement. We look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of campervan design and to providing the best possible experience for our customers.
